We bring the sidelines to center stage with cheers that include: “Who Rocks the House”, “G-O Yell GO”, “Dynamite”, and many more. How to Make a Sock Monkey

"Come inside and beat the winter blues by making an adorable sock monkey! All you will need to come to class with are two NEW pairs of women's knee high or crew socks (NO kid's socks). Be sure that the sock comes up at least 6 inches above the ankle of the sock. One pair will be extra in case a mistake in cutting is made, but they DO NOT have to be matching pairs. The more colorful the socks or bold the pattern the more fun and unique your monkey will be! We will teach you the basics of cutting, sewing a simple stitch, stuffing, and ways to embellish your monkey. All other necessary materials will be provided."

The transition from the familiarity of elementary school and the inevitable hormonal challenges of (pre)adolescence presents a unique challenge. This time is likely to bring up new emotions and opportunities to practice adaptive coping skills. This is important because the ways in which we cope with stress has the potential to become part of our identity. Arriving in junior high with a set of adaptive coping skills lays the groundwork for a strong and positive self and makes room for the cognitive and socio-emotional work of junior high school. This yoga class will introduce yoga principals to support both body and mind.

Become part of a crew that will investigate many aspects of the ocean. As marine biologists, we will investigate the importance of the ocean that makes up about 70% of the Earth’s surface. Each week SCIENCE comes alive as we engage in exciting hands‐on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, and participate in inquiry‐based discussions. We will even dissect a squid and paint with its ink! Come on a wonderful deep-sea exploration!
